David’s career in the fish industry started over 20 years ago after he left the army. He started with Safeway in 1994. ‘I thoroughly enjoyed my first shift in the fish department, and from that day on, my passion grew within the fish industry. After my first few months I knew that this was my life long career’. He has entered the British Fish Craft Championship three times and in 2017 he came 4th in the Billingsgate Craftsmanship Trophy. He is still working in the fish industry with Morrisons, 24 years later and is now a manager.
