At the age of 14 I successfully arranged to spend my week's work experience in a wet fish shop called R Rowe and Son in north-west London, and I got paid £25. This progressed to a part-time and holiday job for the next 5 years. I was already hooked on fishing, now I had found a passion for preparing, selling, cooking and talking about all things fish.
I have since worked with food all my career but only in the last 18 months decided I had to make my living doing what I am most passionate about - fish. Being certified within my job is always something I have pursued and I was delighted to pass the Recognised Tier with great assessor comments.
